Chronic Pain Reset

Move beyond chronic pain and reclaim your body

Available online or in-person

Have you been living with pain for months, even after doctors and treatments haven’t helped? Chronic pain can be like a fire alarm that keeps ringing long after the fire is gone.

OldPain2Go® is a simple, effective talking therapy that helps you move beyond chronic pain—not just manage it. This gentle, collaborative process uncovers the root cause of your pain and gives you the opportunity to be completely pain-free or significantly reduce it.

What is OldPain2Go®?

During your session, we work with the part of the brain that controls pain messages, negotiating whether it is now safe to switch them of or turn down the volume. This technique is call Brain Bargaining. This part of your brain only wants to protect you. Once it realises it’s safe, pain levels can dramatically reduce or switch off entirely.

Most clients achieve dramatic relief in just on session. In complex cases, a second session may be needed.

You don’t need to believe it will work, you just need to genuinely want to be free from pain.

How Does it Work?

Pain explained…

“Gabrielle’s manner put me at ease and allowed me to connect with an emotional event that I hadn’t realised was connected to my back pain. The treatment definitely shifted something and I cried a lot the next day. The release technique is something that will serve me for the rest of my life. I don’t know how it works, but it does. Amazing!”

What people are saying…

Pain IS important. It alerts us when we are injured or hurt so we can take the necessary action to heal. After we have taken that action and the appropriate healing time has passed, our pain should go.

Pain can be likened to a fire alarm

Acute Pain

Harm Phase - There’s a fire in the building
Stage 1: An injury occurs whereby there is actual or potential damage to body tissues (burn, cut, broken bones, stubbing your toe), and the body’s harm receptors detect the damage and send pain signals to the brain.

Alarm Phase - Fire Alarm goes off
Stage 2: Pain acts as an alarm, a loud signal to highlight a problem and elicit action to prevent further harm. The brain evaluates the danger and decides what action needs to be taken. Do you need to seek medical attention? Everyone’s perception of pain is individual to them and cannot be compared with another.

Action Phase - Evacuate the Building
Stage 3: The necessary steps become apparent to lessen or avoid damage and the required action is taken, leading to full healing. A broken arm will need X-Rays, a possible cast and then physiotherapy. This normally occurs within 12 weeks for most body parts.

Reset Phase - Fire Alarm is Reset
Stage 4: The alarm’s intensity diminishes as healing progresses. The pain eventually leaves as safety is restored, even before healing is complete, allowing the brain to silence outdated pain signals.

Chronic Pain

Chronic pain is fundamentally pain that is stuck in Stage 2, the alarm phase. It’s acute pain that has continued after 12 weeks. The pain is real but it is a message from your brain rather than from tissue damage and your internal defence mechanism thinks this continued pain is still beneficial.

Pain is very complex, it does not only relate to tissue damage, it also takes into account our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and circumstances.

Unfortunately, medical experts rarely investigate the root cause of the chronic pain and patients are left with having to accept that pain is permanent and can only be managed with pain medication, or are given little or no hope of healing the pain.

But what if there was a way to be completely pain-free or reduce the volume of your pain
